The Nose-horned viper (Vipera ammodytes) is not in the Living Zoology logo only by chance. It is the first venomous snake which we have found together on our first expedition to Macedonia in 2013. Despite the fact that we visited Macedonia during the summer, which is not the best time of the year for herping, we were able to find our target snake species. After the return we created our first Living Zoology logo inspired by one of our photographs. The Nose-horned viper became a symbol of our belief that with a big desire and effort we can achieve almost anything we want.
The original logo was upgraded in 2019 by Jiří Pich from Jabko Design. And why we are Living Zoology? Because zoology is our life and we think that it is still a very alive science!
